Balthali Village Tour (Trek) starts in a small village named Balthali Village which is a small sleepy settlement, rests at the junction of Roshi and Ladku Khola River. Balthali Village stands on a plateau which is just beyond Khopasi, 40km away from Kathmandu. The area surrounding the Balthali Retreat is thickly forested with plentiful floras, colorful rhododendron and sal trees cover the hill that undulates and opens out to terrace fields. The trek in the pure village like this have a pleasent feeling and worth for knowing the village culture and also we can promote Village Tourism in Nepal. After dusk a myriad of flickering lights below the valley of Balthali Village comes alive. Nature lovers and bird watchers can spend days exploring and discovering some exceptional species of wildlife, tradition and culture untouched by the modernity. This 'off the beaten track' has endless trials leading to some ethnic tribes thus, offering excellent short hikes and mountain biking on the easy trials. Many of the sacred and ancient temples and monasteries such as Namo Buddha, Indreshwar mahadev, Brahmayani Temples are located in this region and still needs to be discovered and unveil its mysterious past. There are a number of excellent short and long hikes from a day to 5 days within Balthali Village Resort and its surrounding gives you ample opportunity and time to explore this quaint natural heaven.
Balthali Village Tour Itinerary
Day 01.
Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment.
Day 03.
Drive to Khopasi (36 KM from Kathmandu). Then walk for 30 to 45 min to reach Balthali Village. During the walk you will get a chance to see one of the oldest Hydroelectricity projects of Nepal. Then pass through a holy men village and a terrace fields.
In the evening camp firing will be held followed by a cultural show by the villagers. Typical Nepali dinner (Dhindo or Rice) with a local chicken from the village. Overnight at resort.
Day 04.
Breakfast at the resort. Then hike towards a joint river where you will see a water mill and Ladkeshwor Temple situated inside the cave. Then walk forward to Nepane Village (Typical Tamang Village), after exploring the lifestyle of a typical Tamang community, move down to Ladku River and then back to the resort. Lunch at the resort and then stroll around resort. Camp fire and live show of a Jhakri in the evening. Dinner and overnight at resort.
Day 05.
Early morning view of a Sunrise, then go for Bird watching. Breakfast at a resort garden and walk towards Khopasi crossing a suspension bridge over a Roshi river. Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 06.
Transfer to Airport for your departure!!!
