Don't ask me! Of course, I were not in the summit of Everest!! After watching ' Into Thin Air', the film talking about climbing to the summit,I realized that it's actually very dangerous and those people said they wouldn't go there again, " that is one of the most dangerous place in the world"..
"hehe.. trekking in Everest area is still possible for the normal people like me!! Up to the mountain, the scene is really different and sometimes I think I am in Europe.. it is very clean and surrounding by the mountains with snow on the top.. Besides good scenery, I haven't brought any expectation to this trip. However, at the end, I got much more than I expected! It's not just about me! It's about the people I met over there.. I will say they're legends to me!!
Outfitter Nepal travelling agent! When I found them from internet, I thought it is just a local run agent. However, it's much more than that!! They were young people with dreams and overcame the obstacles.. from villeges, self-sufficient farm family life to the big city to find a job- starting from porters carrying huge kilos..upgrade themlves to guildes..now they're owners of Outfitter Nepal. They're just 27! and they're my friends now! :)
As my agent suggested, you should go to Everest once in your life!! oh, nothing to worry about.. Outfitter Nepal will provide your group or individual trip with decent prices but good services! (haha, ok, I don't get any commission from them..)

I just arrived back to Kathmandu from a Three week Everest Region Trekking. It was certainly an experience I will never forget and I owe special thanks to members of the Outfitter Nepal team: NG, Arjun and Raj. It was little bit hard to believe at the beginning only in the internet as whether we are able to get the services which we had agreed through the mails before we arrive. But now I am 100% satisfied with their service, they perfectly organized the memorable Everest high pass trek for me and my father, who was my trekking companion.
Already upon arrival on our first day in Kathmandu, we were pleasantly welcomed in Outfitters office for a short briefing about the trek and a first meeting with Mr. Khadka, who would be our guide during the trek. He proved to be a very experienced guide and has become a close friend of us during the trek. He taught us many things about local customs, the environment and the mountains and he brought us to many places we
would have never found ourselves. Many times, he brought us right into the homes of the local inhabitants of the small villages along the route to drink a cup of tea with the always very friendly house owners. This made the experience of this already beautiful trek an even better one.
My father and I will never forget the great time we had with Khadka (Balaram) and our loyal porter Dendi Sherpa and we have Outfitter Nepal to thank for this amazing experience. After our trek, we even had dinner with NG, Arjun, Raj and Balaram to share our thoughts about the trek and their thoughts about how to satisfy the customer. The Outfitter team does a great job in giving you a wonderful experience you will never forget. Because I was so satisfied with the way they had organized our trek, I decided to book a trip to Chitwan National park with Outfitter Nepal as well. Again, the organization of this short trip was perfect.
Thank you NG, Arjun, Raj and Balaram for everything you did for us. We enjoyed every single second of our trip.

Rodger Clark with FriendI have been on two treks with Raj. The first was a six day walk from Birethanti to Gorepani on the Annapurna circuit. Raj first proved his mettle when I left my backpack at our lunch stop on the trip from Kathmandu and didn't realise until about 10 minutes later. It took many fast conversations and then many buses for us to get to Pokhara after our bus kept going, but in the end I got my bag back. I felt stupid, but Raj always kept smiling and never once blamed me or held anything against me. As a guide Raj is very organised and very good at communicating what to expect on the trail. He knows a lot about the local landscapes and customs and can explain this very well. He organises everything at the Lodges that you will stay in on your trek, and some of the best fun I had was playing cards and chess with some of the Lodge owners who all obviously hold Raj in high regard. The thing I like most about Raj is his attitude to life and his easy laugh. There are times during a trek that can be physically tough, but I laughed a lot during both of the treks I have done with Raj and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Everest Base Camp(Elron)Myself and four other travelers: one other from Canada, one from the US and two others from the UK, all met up in Thamel and wound up on a trek lead by Raj Kumar. I consider myself fairly well traveled having worked, adventured and played on most continents; but I can honestly say that the time I spent in the Everest Region, and the memories I have from my trip with Raj in the Nepalese Himalayas are amongst those I hold most dear.
I will not go inclato detail about the beauty of the Everest Region. I can´t find words to describe it´s breathtaking majesty; it truly is the crown of the world. I would however like to thank Raj for making it an unforgettable experience, and vouch for him as a fun, competent, organized, and connected trekking guide.
From the beginning, our trip from Kathmandu to Lukla, Raj proved himself as a competent leader and guide. By the end of our experience, all of us on the trek would call him our friend. Raj is extremely adept at doing business and guiding people through the region and his competence made the trek, which cold have been otherwise, a hassle free experience. Raj is someone that sincerely cares about the welfare and contentment of our group and thought we were on a budget experience he was always going out of his way to secure us the nicer room or a bit of extra food.
Raj is good friends with all of the other guides on the trail and may of the locals in the villages we passed through. As the trek progressed we met up with other trekkers and upon our request, Raj was all to happy to begin travailing with the other groups we met along the way. The result was a mosaic of trekkers and guides composed of up to 6 independent groups at times but always led by Raj. This was a unique experience for us in a sense that we had the chance to share company with many of the guides and other trekkers. This dynamic group allowed us to have a new trekking partner whenever we so desired; presenting us with the opportunity to share this amazing experience with travelers and guides from all throughout the region and world. Furthermore, this showcased Raj´s leadership, ability to work in a team, and his capacity for organizing a large number of people.
When I heard that Raj was starting up his own trekking company I was delighted. I can´t think of a better person to bring trekkers to the Himalayas, giving them a peek into Nepal and the Nepalese culture with the crown of the world as a backdrop.
Thank you Raj, and best of luck to you and your new company.

Elron Lilgert

I and my boyfriend had the pleasure of Arjun's company in February 2007 to Trek to The Base Camp of Annapurna which took around 2 week this included white water rafting on our way to Pokhara which was fantastic. We had 1 night in Pokhara before our trekking began and Arjun made sure we were prepared and ready for the following day. Arjun speaks excellent English which for us was great because he has very good knowledge of the Annapurna area which was very interesting, he had lots of contacts at each guest house along the way so this was good for us because we always got sleeping blankets each and had the pick of the rooms, e.g., nearest to the toilets. He introduced us to the local people living in the mountains which are experiences we will always remember. He looked after us every step of the way and we were so sad when we said goodbye as he is very easy to talk to and build good relationship with, we are planning another trip to Nepal this time to do the Everest Trek and there is no question that we will be going with. Of course, "Arjun" A really hard working guy who wants you to have a memorable trip and always puts your safety first. Thanks Arjun.

Raj, David & N.G.This was my second time hiking in Nepal. And the experience just gets better. The guys (N.G., Arjun, Raj) met me at the Kathmandu airport, and took care of everything. And I mean everything Accommodations, internal flights, the entire trek. But I may be getting ahead of myself.
Last year, I came to Nepal. I didn’t have a lot of time (just a little less than three weeks). But I wanted to see as much of the country as I could. And the folks from Outfitter Nepal didn’t disappoint. Within a day, itineraries for a hike along the Everest trail, an excursion to Chitwan Park, and day trips around the sights of Kathmandu were put in place.
I had an awesome time. So much so, that I came back this year.
So, who did I contact? The guys at Outfitter Nepal, and again the trip were awesome. I wanted to do the Annapurna sanctuary trek. And it got done. I didn’t have to worry about anything Lodging, food, and the whole hike, all very professionally done. My guide Raj tailored the whole hike to my needs and abilities. We flew to Pokhara and the next day we were off. We trekked 11 days along the Annapurna Sanctuary, all the way to base camp and back. I saw scenery I’d never seen before… met a lot of great people along the way.
Plus, I had a great time (and have the photos to prove it.)
An A-plus trek all the way. I’d highly recommend it.

Outfitter Nepal provided me with the outstanding service, The Guide, Bala was tremendous who helped me on the jomsom trekking. He provided me with lots of interesting cultural and historical information about each of the village that we passed through. It seemed that he has friends and contacts in each of the village. The scenery was breathtaking; it was also very enjoyable to mingle with fellow trekkers. Outfitter Nepal really comes through for me, as I was on a very limited time scale; they tailored a Himalayan trek that was well within the limits of my time frame. I will definitely use their services again on my next trip to Nepal. I highly recommend them to other prospective trekkers in the Himalayas.

As far as guides go, I could not think of anyone better than Raj. Not only did he know every single detail about the trail (I think he knows every rock by its first name) but he was also a fantastic friend that helped us through the tough times we faced. He put in so much extra effort to make us comfortable that I often wondered why I should deserve such treatment. Thanks Raj, you managed to make the most physically demanding experience that I've ever had into an enjoyable holiday.

Kenny MacDonald"Raj is a very good and trustworthy guide. I went from jiri to lukla with him for many days and also Anapurna, without problems. If you want a good guide who can speak English, Raj is your man!!
Cheers,
Kenny MacDonald, Scotland.
Raj took me on a four-day hike around Kathmandu Valley in August 2007. He exceeded my expectations in every respect. Whether the topic was demographics, politics, or philanthropy, he was a knowledgeable source of information about the country we were exploring. He was also a steady and reliable trekker with impressive knowledge of the local area. His English was excellent, and he was always open to adjusting a plan to take into account a special request. I highly recommend him as a guide -- I am hoping to return to Nepal sooner for a longer trek with him myself!

I recently visited Nepal in March of 2009. Intentionally I didn't look in the Lonely Planet guide, surf the website, or do any other form of preparation before visiting Nepal... I just simply arrived and let my trip unfold as the universe would have it. I traveled to 5 countries over 3 months this way. I am very grateful that I was divinely brought to NG and "Outfitter Nepal". I was treated fairly, and with generous amounts of customer service. I am most grateful for the amazing guide I was given: Naran (nick name: RAM). His English was excellent, his knowledge of Nepal very deep, and his heart was as big as they come. He truly embodies the NAMASTE spirit of Nepal, which is slowly becoming harder to find as consumerism becomes the new precious capital that is valued. We had a great trek, and I am forever thankful to him for his generosity of Spirit.
Thanks you NG, RAM, and the rest of the team for making my experience there so special. I hope you continue to model "people first and monetary success second". Selling by giving will always be the best long term model for your business success.
