Ganesh Himal Trekking - 14 Days

Ganesh Himal trekking is one another popular trekking trail in Nepal. It is located between the Langtang and Annapurna Himalaya region. The eastern part of the Ganesh Himal range is famous for the unique culture of ethnic group called ‘Tamang’, and for spectacular views of mountains and colorful rhododendron forests.

Ganesh Himal TrekkingGenerally, the trekking in Ganesh himal region is arranged for sighting of the flora and fauna, where you can enjoy with diverse family of orchids and a variety of ferns, the valleys set ablaze by yellow blossoms of double Jasmine, the forest dense with Spanish oak, blue pine. During the spring season, the rhododendron bloom in such a way that really enchants one to visit time and again.

Ganesh Himal trekking begins from Trishuli or Syabrubesi and ends at Dhading or Gorkha, your trek through Ganesh Himal passes though yet unexplored valleys, pine forests and a number of passes. Furthermore, the main attraction area, the ‘Tamang villages and you reach Sangjung Kharka and Khola Kharka to view Ganesh Himal V, Ganesh Himal II, Langtang Li Rung (7,225m) and Paldor peak among others. This trekking offers really a superb opportunity to enjoy magnificent views of a number of Himalayas and explore several flora, fauna, Nepalese cultural tradition from the closest quarter and intermingle with local people.

Ganesh Himal Trekking Details Itinerary:

Day 01.
Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment.
Day 02.
Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa.
Day 03.
Drive Kathmandu to Betrawati:
It takes about 6 hours; you will drive North of Kathmandu via Trishuli Bazar (Shoping centre for local people, mix caste people from different village,
Day 04.
Trek from Betrawati to Kispang. (aprx. height 1850m.):
It takes about 6 hours (Steep up, mix village, farm and Shaal forest).
Day 05.
Trek from Kispang to Thulo Chaur (aprx. height 2350m.):
It takes about 5 hours. (Great Tamang culture, village, School, Monastry, stupa, farm, waterfall)
Day 06.
Trek from Thulo Chaur - Gonga (aprx. height 3000m.):
It takes about 4 hours. (Beautiful and deep mix forest, Animals)
Day 07.
Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (aprx. height 3800m.):
It takes about5 hours and this is the base camp of Shing La Top; (Deep rhododendron and pine forest, good chance to see the animals including monkey, great Himalayan chane of Langtnag and Tibet range).
Day 08.
Trek from Rupchet to Shing La pass (aprx. height 4400.) or Sing La Top (aprx. height 4600m and Cherma (aprx. height 2900m.):
It takes about 8 hours. (High top, early morning Singla for Amazing Mountains view with sunrise, deep forest)
Day 09.
Trek from Cherma to Meyghang (aprx. height 2300m.):
It takes about 6 hours. (Nice forest, nice tamang village, great Mountain View and farm.)
Day 10.
Trek from Meyghang to Darkha:
It takes about seven hours. Crossing landslide nearby Jharlang, you begin your trek through ascent path with views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, jungle, waterfall, farming terraces and villages. Darkha is the first Brahmin village on this trek. From here you can enjoy the view of Aankhu stream at some distance.
Day 11.
Trek from Darkhu to Khahare Bazaar:
It takes about seven hours. The early part of your trek is descent up to Darkha phedi and your route moves along the river bank until you reach Khahare. There is a big market at Khahare Bazaar with lodges, tea shops, big school and other important buildings. This place is famous for magnificent views of farming terraces.
Day 12.
Explore Day at Khahare:
There are many things to do for you today as there is school where we have sponsored some unprivileged children, you are welcome to visit the school and there is a river where we can go for swimming & fishing.
Day 13.
Drive from Khahare Bazaar to Kathmandu by bus:
It takes approximately eight hours. The road till Dhadingbesi moves through unpaved road and then you drive along the well paved road until you reach Kathmandu. It can be best defined as scenic journey due to the beautiful views of rivers, hills, terraces, forests and villages.
Day 14.
Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
