Lower Ganesh Himal TrekkingThe Name of this mountain "Ganesh Himal" is derived from the name of the elephant-headed God Ganesh. The Ganesh Himal can clearly be viewed from Kathmandu Valley. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal, that is the "Great Himalayan Chain" forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Budi Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east. In this Trekking one can experience its rich Flora: the impressive display of berberis, primula, orchids and a variety of Ferns, the forest dense with Spanish oak, blue pine, and in spring time blossoming of the rhododendron set whole forest alight in spectacular arrays of color. The trekking route passes through Tamang villages, gorges and magnificent sceneries. This trekking Can be organize only camping and these days there are small Local lodges in some places so it will be the best trekking to those who are looking to experience local Life style so it can be combined with some lodge and home stay trekking.

Itinerary in Detail
Day 01. Drive from Kathmandu to Samari Bhanjyang(1250m.) via Trishuli Bazaar (540m.) by bus.
Day 02. Trek from Samari Bhanjyang to Katunje Bazaar (765m.): It takes about six and half hours. In the beginning you trek along gradual descent path and then your trail turns uphill. Finally you trek through flat land to reach your destination.
Day 03. Trek from Katunje Bazaar to Sundar Bazaar (Khahare) (645m.): it takes about two hours. The trail goes gradual down hill passing through picturesque villages and farming terraces. You can enjoy swimming and fishing in Ankhu Khola at Sundar Bazaar too.
Day 04. Trek from Sundar Bazaar to Aarughat Bazaar (500 m.): It takes about three and half hours. This day you trek mostly over flat leveled path along the bank of Ankhu Khola (river), picturesque villages, beautiful terraces and you are quite surrounded by green hills.
Day 05. Trek from Aarughat Bazaar to Khanchok (1050m.): it takes about six hours. This day you trek steep ascent path until you reach a high school at Tandrang village. Now the trail goes gradual uphill along the ridge till Khanchok.
Day 06. Trek from Khanchok to Gorkha Bazaar (1143m.): It takes about six hours to reach Gorkha the trail moves uphill all the way to Gorkha temple. Now you trek descent path along stone stair for about 20 minutes to reach Gorkha Bazaar.
Day 07. Drive from Gorkha to Kathmandu by bus: it takes about seven hours.
