Our first destination is Nagarkot from where we will view the most fascinating and mesmerizing sunrise over the Himalayas and Dhulikhel is our next destination. Treading along the unexplored trails of Dhulikhel can be very exhilarating and enriching experience. The stupa and shrines at Namobuddha in addition to temples at Dhulikhel are worth visiting as it will depict a holy feeling and tremendous peace in you.
Chisapani Nagarkot Hiking Details Itinerary:
Day 01.
Drive to Sakhu and hike to Nagarkot- 3 hours:
In the morning, after having breakfast in your hotel, we drive to Sakhu and Hike up to Nagarkot which takes about 2-3 hours and for the first hour it goes gradually up for the nest hour it goes steep up to the Nagarkot and you are able to view the Magnificent Himalayan view along the hiking Overnight at Guesthouse. Day 02.
Hiking from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel- 6 hours:
As we approach Dhulikhel, a glut of cultural diversities, traditional practices and lush vegetation .Dhulikhel (1440m.) is a small town of Newar with a long history. According to the records it has been around for more than 500 years. The artistic skill and urban ethos of its Newar inhabitants have created a place of charm and beauty. Streets are lined with bare-brick houses, carved wooden windows, sloping roofs, pagoda temples and sacred statues everywhere. From here, we can get a beautiful vista of the town and surrounding areas. Overnight at Guesthouse. B.L.D
Day 03.
Hiking from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha - 4 hours:
From Dhulikhel, the trail climbs up to the Kali Mandir, a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. From there the trail drops down to the village of Kavre and past a line of shops and tea houses, then it climbs again through pine woods past Phulbari and up and down a couple of more hills before we reach the hill of Namobuddha. Namobuddha situated at an elevation of 1750m is very important Buddhist Pilgrimage located in Kavre District about 38 km east of Kathmandu. The Stupa and shrines built in this lovely little hill mark a very ancient holy site where a legendary prince named Mahasattva offered to a starving Tigress with several underfed cubs. This legendary episode is depicted in a stone slab and placed right next to a holy Stupa. From Namobuddha we drive back to Kathmandu.
