Kusum Kanguru Peak Climbing

Kusum Kanguru, 6,369 meters, dominating the southern end of Charpati Himal separates the valley of the Dudh Koshi from the upper reaches of Hinku Drangka. This peak is a complex, triple?summited mountain having at least five major ridges and faces. The north face of the main summit is the most spectacular one. The name Kusum Kanguru comes from Tibetan meaning ?Three Snow Peaks?.

This peak is one of the most difficult trekking peaks to climb and was first ascended in the autumn of 1979 by a Japanese team.

Kusum Kangru Peak Climbing Itinerary

Day 01.
Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters). You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking and climbing after refreshment.
Day 02.
Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa. (Prepared Climbing and briefing).
Day 03.
Fly to Lukla; Trek to Phakding
Day 04.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Day 05.
Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Day 06.
Trek to Base camp; just before
Day 07.
Trek to Base camp
Day08-15.
Climbing period
Day16-17.
Trek back to Namche Bazaar
Day 18.
Trek to Lukla
Day 19.
Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 20.
Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
